The ABS (Anti-lock braking system) modulates the braking of a vehicle, specifically decreasing braking pressure being applied to avoid any wheels locking up or sliding under hard or sudden breaking.
Earlier ABS systems were made up of a separate ABS Electronics control module (ABS ECM) also referred to as an ABS computer, coupled with a separate pump motor and valve block.
Modern ABS units incorporate the electronics, the valve body and pump as one complete unit. This ABS module assembly can also include other functions such as stability and traction control.
United, through our network of specialists can repair and remanufacture ABS Systems fitted to vehicles from the following manufacturers: Audi, BMW, Ford, GMH, Jaguar, Jeep, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Saab, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen, Volvo, and many other vehicles.
As well as the ABS computer itself, we can also remanufacture ABS pump motors and ABS valve body solenoids.
