Core Exchange Policy

Core Exchange at United

Although most parts sold by United are brand new parts from our world-renowned suppliers, a small selection are also remanufactured parts. Our core charges are used to encourage customers to return their old units. These parts can be professionally rebuilt using OEM parts by authorised repair dealers and resold.

This benefits you, the customer by keeping pricing competitive, ensuring a steady circulation of potentially difficult to find parts, reduces waste from disposal of worn units and reduces pollution due to having to manufacture less parts in the first place.

How does our core charge work?

The core charge for the injector/injectors or fuel pump will be included in the total price of the unit or units. The invoice will show a breakdown of this and will be clearly stated. Once we receive the unit back and have inspected the unit to ensure it’s in a reusable condition. The original core charge will then be refunded / credited back to you.

**Cores must be returned in a repairable condition, otherwise the core charge will not be refunded. **

As an example, you purchase a remanufactured fuel injector for $550 that has a $50 core charge applied. You install the injector to the vehicle and return the old injector back to us. We assess the unit and determine it is in a repairable condition. We will then refund/credit you the $50 core charge, meaning the actual price you pay for the injector is $500.
